Elizabeth Salvation Army Unit

The Elizabeth Salvation Army Unit is based at the Elizabeth Baptist Church under the leadership and direction of: Pastor Jeff Riker, Darlene Brown, and Treasurer, Bonnie Hubauer.

This non-profit volunteer core of The Salvation Army is available to serve residents of the zip code areas: 15037, 15018, and 15020. We help residents with emergency needs of food, clothing, rent, and utilities.

Project Bundle Up is available in the fall; we provide new winter clothing for children and seniors. A Christmas toy program is also offered and available for children 1 – 13 years of age.

 

We are responsible to raise our own operating budget each year. This is done each year in November through a mail appeal to local churches, organizations, and individuals. Many of our local churches display a Red Counter Kettle during the month of December to allow individuals in their church the opportunity to give.
